"O Sathi Re"

A series of painting which represents the visual embodiment of 'Love' using a very decorative Indian style, specially from Maharashtra.

This very ancient style of story telling 'CHITRAKATHI' has unique creative motives and line work.

In this style, the eye is painted as a single circular dot but has immense expression. The forms of the trees are very innovative and the nature is painted according to the mood of the scene. Colours used are simple and Figures are decorated with ornaments and detailed work on the garments.

I love this style and hence incorporated it into my paintings since last 40 years.
