コンテストのご案内：
2012年3月25日 (日) 午後１時より(受付十二時二十分)、カールスバッド公立図書館講堂において、第十五回サンディエゴ地区スピーチコンテストを開催します。
恒例となっているこのイベントは、日本語学習を通して日本ならびに日本文化のよりよい理解を深めるために、地元の高校、短大、大学で日本語を学ぶ学生たちに、日本語能力を発揮し、競い合う場を提供するためのコンテストです。
日本語を学んでいる高校生、大学生の皆さん、どうぞ奮ってご応募ください。楽しいひと時をすごしましょう。
参加資格は以下の通りとなっております。
現在地域の大学、短大、高校に通う生徒であること、一世の親と同居せず家庭の中で日本語が日常的に話されていないこと、日本で半年以上在学していないことなどです。詳細はウェブサイトwebにて応募要項をご覧ください。
尚、指導を受けた先生の推薦が必要で、1校につき5名以下、先着順となっています。

Dear Educators and Friends in San Diego:
We are pleased to announce that the fifteenth Annual San Diego Region Japanese Speech Contest for high school and college/university students will take place in on the afternoon of Sunday, March 25th, 2012 in the auditorium of the Carlsbad Public Library in Carlsbad, California. This contest will provide a great opportunity to encourage students of Japanese to make presentations in the hope of improving their language skills, making friends, and expanding understanding between American and Japanese culture and people. It is vital that we reach as many students as possible to take part in this contest. We will be very grateful for your cooperation in our efforts by encouraging your students to enter the contest.
We would also like to appreciate Mrs. Hisako Coox of former Japan-US Center for her generous support to make this special opportunity happen once a year over the last two decades.
Additionally if you have information to share about your classroom or your program, please make a presentation as we have time while we are waiting for the result of the competition!
