History 3

Special activities in the early days

Hash weekends.  The tradition of members going away for weekends began early.  Venues included Stanthorpe, the Bunya Mountains, Moreton and Stradbroke Islands.

Hash Christmas parties.  These were held in various members' homes in turn.  Superbrat would brew a keg to supplement the drinks funded from Hash Cash, and all members would contribute food.

Hash Christmas runs.  The last run before Christmas was often a morning one so that choristers in the group could serenade the locals with their Hash versions of Christmas carols as they ran through the village.

And the tradition continues...
