2016 Buick Regal AWD Turbo - T-Type
New car in the long list of cars owned
2016 Buick Regal AWD Turbo - T-Type
Of course it was the first one off the trailer - first on one the lot - I have a habits of buying the first ones
It also looks like a one off - as I have contacted many Buick Sites and have been told a NON GS Turbo AWD is pretty rare
Great group of guys here - if you have a Late Model Regal Turbo - http://buickforums.com/forums
Its a twin-scroll turbo - kind of like a Twin Turbo of old days - or a bi-turbo
Since Buick has not made a new Grand National - this is as close as we are going to get for now
It is a T-Type - a Regal with all the power of the top of the line GS - with out all the extra stuff - just like the 86/87 T-Types where
Heck it even has the T-Type badges - but updated - as you can see in the pics below - T/TT
Yes its a 4-door - but has all a family needs - with lots of power - and leather, Apple Play, and much more -
Most review sites are showing 14.9 in the 1/4 - about what my old stock AOD 5.0's did
Great car - going to do updates and give more information soon
Going to take it to NJ Raceway Park - and try a AWD launch with the TC and SC off - spool the turbo/turbo's up and see what it does
I will be sure to post videos
For now - here are some pics - totally stock - 200 miles
The 2.0L engine’s turbocharger features a twin-scroll design that uses exhaust tuning to generate balance between maximum power and excellent turbo response, enabling the engine to deliver a broad torque band
In fact, it delivers 90 percent (259 lb-ft / 353 Nm) of its peak torque from 1,700 rpm to 5,500 rpm and a full 295 lb-ft of peak torque (400 Nm) from 3,000 to 4,000 rpm in the Regal.
Those broad torque bands are supported by boost levels as high as 24 psi (1.65 bar) in the speed range, engineered to give the Regal and Regal GS assuring, exhilarating feelings of immediate power on demand.
