A friend in Uppermill sent me the news item about the Tuesday Walkers, and the money raised for Oldham Mountain Rescue Team.  Well Done !  Amazing that an afternoon walk with a few friends from Dobcross Garden Centre in July 1994 should still be going strong, nearly thirty years on.

I recognise Eric and Chris from the photo, please pass on my best wishes.

All well here on Crete, still exploring this and other Greek islands, and the mainland areas, last summer the Peloponnese.  Next week off to Sifnos and then to Folegandros, both small islands with many walking trails.

Similar to the articles I once wrote for the Oldham Chronicle, I write a monthly Explore ! piece for our local website, www.thepaleochorasite.com which might tempt some of your group to visit Crete.
