Because of my background as a refugee from Bosnia and Herzegovina who has been carving his own path over the years as an immigrant in the United States, I have been profiled by a few newspapers, including:
The New York Times - profiled as one of 5 outstanding nation-wide graduates in May 2001
The San Francisco Chronicle - article published after delivering commencement address at Lick-Wilmerding High School in June 2001
Atlanta Journal Constitution - a piece following events of September 11, 2001
During business schools, I wrote as one of 10 invited bloggers for Business Week.
I contributed a personal essay to 'In, Out and About on the Hill,' a collection of LGBTQ reflections on the student experience at the College of the Holy Cross.
I wrote two articles on Harry Potter and education, which were presented at national higher education conferences. 'Five Lessons of a Dumbledore Education' appeared in one of the largest higher education journals, while 'Harry Potter and the Theories of Education' appeared in an online magazine.
My essay also appeared in a book on 'Islam and Homosexuality.'
