About YWAR
The YWAR (Youth Welfare Association of Rupert) owns and operates the Rupert
Community Centre located at 24 Chemin Shouldice in Rupert, Quebec.
Rupert is a farming community located in Ward 5 in the Municipality of LaPeche (about 45 minutes from Ottawa).
Our members and participants are permanent or seasonal residents from Rupert and the nearby communities of Lascelles, Alcove, Masham, and Wakefield – some are from as far away as Toronto.
The basement of the Community Centre houses Rupert Treasures.
Hall rental is available for meetings, classes, weddings, parties, yoga classes, dog therapy and dog obedience classes. Programs have also included Senior’s cards (500) on Friday nights, dances, and outdoor ice.
