SAFE BURGLARY RATINGS EXPLAINED (B/C, UL RSC, UL TL-15, UL TL-30, UL T-L30X6)
Burglary ratings provide a standard to indicate the degree of protection a safe will provide in the event of a burglary attack. Burglary Safe Construction Ratings (B/C ratings) are established by the insurance industry and Burglary Test Performance ratings (UL RSC, UL TL-15, UL TL-30, UL TL-30x6) are established and tested by Underwriters Laboratories.

-B Class: Not a timed rating. Steel doors less than 1" thick and a steel body less than 1/2" thick.
-C Class: Not a timed rating. Steel doors at least 1" thick and a steel body at least 1/2" thick.
-UL RSC (Residential Security Container): Safe door successfully resist entry for a net working time of 5 minutes when attacked against rigorous prying, drilling, punching, chiseling, and tampering attacks. Consists of either a Type 1 electronic lock or a Group 2 combination lock, a door equivalent to at least 3/16" of open hearth steel, and a body construction equivalent to at least 12 gauge of open hearth steel.
-UL TL-15: Safe door successfully resist entry for a net working time of 15 minutes when attacked with common hand tools, picking tools, mechanical or portable electric tools, grinding points, carbide drills and pressure applying devices or mechanisms. Consists of either a Type 1 electronic lock or a Group 2M, 1, 1R combination lock. Body walls equivalent to at least 1" of open hearth steel. Can either be securely anchored to the ground or must weight a minimum of 750lbs.
-UL TL-30: Safe door successfully resist entry for a net working time of 30 minutes when attacked with common hand tools, picking tools, mechanical or portable electric tools, grinding points, carbide drills and pressure applying devices or mechanisms, abrasive cutting wheels and power saws.
