Dreams in the Realms sometimes have magical or portentous significance. Legends speak of a time when spellcasters could perform a simple rite to bring dreams to them. The mysterious plane known as the Dreaming is touched by almost all minds, at one point or another.
On this page, you can see any dreams for our plot that are currently ongoing, meaning that members of the Realms might have them. We will send the dreams out through other methods as well, but you can always come here.
In general, anyone can receive a dream1. Ordinarily, we request that you only read through each dream we provide a single time, and then do not open it again. If your character has added ability with dreams, however, then you may revisit each active Dream as often as you would like. Sources of this ability include having the spell Precognition, having the old spell Dream in your Spell Mastery, having enough experience in the Dreaming to visit Skerries of your own volition, or having a guide (which involves sleeping within a few feet of someone who can instruct you on how to meet them in the Dreaming, who themselves knows how to visit Skerries and bring people along with them.)
Do not copy the text from these Dreams, but you are welcome to write down whatever you remember of your dream after you finish it. You can, of course, read others' accounts of the dreams.
Some of our dreams may be more interactive, and be experienced as a simple text-based interface on a Web page. For these, note that your interactions in the dream will be recorded. However, we will not know who you were unless you choose to identify yourself, as prompted.
(We will announce when new ones are added here.)
[1] You are free to choose that your character does not dream. If you are looking for guidelines, then a starting point is that almost all sentient creatures can dream, but if your character cannot sleep, has a magic item that suppresses dreams, or is explicitly cut off from the Dreaming, then they might not receive any dreams.
