Fashion, Function,Fruit Fusion

Interview By Nacho Clown back up RSM .1=fotohttp://www.lauriescavo.com/ ] All foto's and Goods Property of BailyRose.com Baily Rose a future and past  focus  artist, fashion designer ,fashion editor , her wearable style is function and fashion  hand made and machine woven much like  a painters canvas not from whole yards of the many textures of factory lines of clothes but from the very the linen  scraps called scrap along with the many forms  of other fabrics &  wools & yarns of the world this is a river fashion... a  yarn this is...

Baily Rose:I was bored with obtaining my Psychology degree at the University of Colorado, so my friends & I put on a fashion/art/film/music show in our backyard. Our friends had the art/film/music bases covered, so my roommate and

I decided we would just make some clothes.

Nacho Clown :How did you come up with the "Baily Rose Hoodie Scarf "Cold weather hat fashion is not usually know as a fashion place in a sense you rock it with that number .

BR:I was knitting a lot of scarves and caps for my friends, and I think my roommate suggested that I make a hood & scarf in one... I really can't remember though. When I moved to San Francisco they became a hit and I payed rent one month just by making my hoodie scarves.

NC:Who are some of your favorite fashion designers?

BR:Right now my favorite fashion designer is Natasha Lillipore. We met at the Emily Griffith Opportunity School in their sewing program. She's amazing.

NC: I read at your site how you  scrap together your fashion creations from throw away what a challenge big respects  is that what inspires you the shapes you find ?

BR:Yes, very much so. When I started designing I didn't have enough money for new fabrics, so reconstructing fashions & draping them directly onto the form has been my way since day one. The history of old clothing inspires me as well. Giving a new life to thrown away fast fashions is something I've always thrived on.

NC:Your dresses have a complex use of  the artist shape use of line and

texture like a painting and futuristic your new styles awesome wearable works of art .How much does art and music play in your fashion sense creating?BR:Art & music are my muses. When I was obtaining my Psychology degree I wanted to change my major to Art & then Film . . . but I felt I was inept at both mediums. I had this creative energy pent up within me, & the artistic medium of fashion just sort of found me. . .

NC: You have been on the fashion scene making cool waves all over and lime light as a Fashion editor as well as for running "Baily Rose fashions " what is next for Bailey Rose industry's?

BR:Haa!Well, I wouldn't say Baily Rose is an industry . . . and I'm actually no longer involved in Illiterate Magazine as the fashion editor but I "edit fashion" on other levels . . . Film has been pulling at me lately . . . designing for musician friends . . . currently dreaming of a fashion tour . . . combining performance, film and fashion together. . . We will see . . I plan things, but I even never know what will actually eventually come to fruition :) . I did change my "brand" from my name to "Maison de Rose", anticipating other apprentices/designers to create with me. Currently I am harping on the idea of couture, custom made clothing.

RSM: Sorry...my respects  your "Fashion Empire" is way cool ?The Hollywood, New York fashion scene is rough and tough... is it not ?the underground  fashion scene is way cool ...what do you see in both and can you give us any  insight for  the future of fashion and style in both ?

BR:I've never been submerged in either scenes. The only fashion scene I sank myself into was the Sustainable/Indie fashion scene in San Francisco. It is rough & tough I'm sure, but truthfully I'm not interested in their "scene." I feel like the industrialization of fashion would steal my creativity from me, something which I will not stand for.

NC:What has been your most inspirational moment so far following a dream of "We just started having fashion shows with friends "?

BR:Every day...

Every moment...

 Every second...

I love what I do because

I can do whatever the fuck

I want...

It's the freedom...

RSM :Beyond looks... freedom... function for ones personal own self. .. right on Baily Rose the sky is the limit for fashion always changing and reinventing itself like art ...for looks most people like to feel good and your art ...you have a gift big respects. My dad was a Barber ,Beautician so he made people feel good that is what he loved about it cutting and doing different hairstyles  and watching people  just smile afterward ...The real,  we always need something to be happy about and wear most of the time... so keep mak''in it ,We support custom hand crafted goods .

NC:"We must never forget how to plant a seed as we must

never forget how to sew with our bare hands".

RSM: Thanks Nacho you learned something from your MOM at least ,BR I like your energy  and use of the freedom to create ones own dreams is way inspiring for ones life thanks for sharing that true energy  .

RSM:Where can we get "Baily Rose" custom goods and fashions?

BR:Currently I am only selling earrings at the Museum of Contemporary Art in their gift shop in Denver & the Yes Please More pop up shop in the Denver Pavilions. Other

than that, directly from me! RSM:You work with a lot of people can you give any advice to those choosing a fashion or model career you still creating your own niche much respected?

BR:I only work with people I like, whom I respect. I refuse to work with people I have not built a trusting, respectful relationship with. If there is not trust/respect/inspiration I feel my work would be shit. After all, I only do this for fun. If it's not fun I won't do it.

NC: Your photos rock do you take them? and do you have photographers you like that you would like to give a shout out too? please do big respects to you and their vision

BR:I have taken some photos in the past, but currently my favorite photographer is Matthew Novak. We call him a photo magician of sorts. He truly is a wizard.

RSM:Your Baily Rose vision if we get... correct if wrong? is a future fashion vision more function in fashion all your creations are truly functional works of art and fashion of the ,comfortable living ,cool style the future needs .

BR:Yes. And custom. I love doing custom work because it ensures that it will function for the individual. Peoples bodies are so different, mass manufactured clothing just doesn't make sense to me.

RSM:Do you prefer Glitz, Glam or rock when it comes to fashion and what is one sentence that describers "Baily Rose fashions" for our fashion lovers or haters ?

RSM:Baily Rose much respect and thank you for your time if we may ask how did Baily Rose fashions come about?

BR:I like it all. Some days it will be glitz, others glam, others rock, other days I'll just wear all black and really not care. It's very much a feeling. One sentence ~~

"Post Everything Re Constructed Couture House"

RSM:Would you like to say anything else to the world Baily Rose please do here .

BR:Your Mom Likes it Haute?
