During my academic tenure at Yeungnam University, I had the privilege of working under the mentorship of Professor Il-Kyu Park, whose guidance was instrumental in shaping my research on piezoelectric nanogenerators and hybrid LED structures. At that time, I worked in the Quantum Semiconductor Devices Lab (QSD Lab), where I gained hands-on experience with a variety of advanced instruments, including:
Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM): For high-resolution imaging of nanostructures.
Photoluminescent (PL) Spectroscopy: Used to analyze the optical properties of materials, particularly in assessing the quality of ZnO nanorods.
Semiconductor Parameter Analyzer: Essential for characterizing electrical properties of semiconductor materials.
Spin Coater: Used for uniform thin-film deposition of photoresists or other materials on substrates.
Electrospinning Equipment: For fabricating nanofibers, particularly useful in creating scaffold structures for various applications.
Sputtering System: Employed in thin-film deposition for various material layers, especially in creating piezoelectric and semiconductor devices.
These tools were essential for my research in semiconductor devices and nanomaterials. Below, I have attached photos of the instruments I worked with, offering a visual representation of my hands-on experience.
Since then, Professor Park has transitioned to Seoultech University, where his lab is now known as the Smart Optoelectronic Nanomaterials Lab (SONLab). I am proud to be recognized as an alum on the staff list of his new lab.
