I am interested in understanding plant biodiversity patterns at broad geographical scales and the evolution of plant habitat specialization in Amazonian forests. For this I use a combination of molecular, ecological and remote sensing tools. My interests in conservation biology includes the conservation of ecological and evolutionary processes and the development of new tools and methods for the assessment of cumulative impacts of infrastructure projects on biodiversity and ecosystem services in the Andes-Amazon region.
