In 2004 I attended two courses: Introduction to Computer Music and Initiation to Electronic Music at "Centro de Música Eletronica da UFRGS", Porto Alegre, Brazil.
The first was focused on creating electronic sounds using software such as MAX/MSP and ProTools. Also, I used virtual synths, midi sequencers, and synthesis techniques. The result of this study was a composition available here: Vintage: Electronic Study (2004).
The second course was about an overview of the chronological history of electronic music, from the telephone invention, in which simple electronic devices were able to generate and capture sounds, to the most powerful technology we have today for music composition. If you are interested in more information, here I have a presentation and an article (Portuguese) presented during my graduation.
This is my last experiment using Vocaloid technology. The song is called Prayer of the Children by Kurt Bestor. Vocaloid is a singing voice synthesizer that enables users to synthesize singing by typing in lyrics and melody. It uses synthesizing technology with specially recorded vocals of voice actors or singers. To create a song, the user must input the melody and lyrics.
Dream Time (2003): This was my first band. I was finishing high school when I met some guys to play Brazilian rock music. On guitars, me and Juliano, on the bass Diônata, drums Saul, vocals Fabiano, and Claudionor as a roadie. Pictures were taken during a local festival called "Universo Pop".
