Our Team

Detavius MasonDetavius Mason is a public health professional helping to improve the health and well-being of our nation. He is the President/Co-Founder of Rebuilding Our Community. His vision for the organization is to make it the preeminent way that nonprofits function; by combining public health principles with a community centered approach. Detavius is also a health administrator at a major hospital, and part of several community boards. When he isn’t working, you can find him playing basketball, running, or off in a corner stuffing his face with cookies and/or doughnuts.

Adib El-Amin Adib is a public health professional who enjoys helping people. He serves as Director of Programs/Co-Founder for Rebuilding Our Community. At an early age, Adib developed a strong work ethic. He feels that everyone has the opportunity to help someone less fortunate then themselves. Some choose to act on it and others choose to ignore. One of the mottos that Adib lives by is, “To whom much is given, much is required.” His passion to help people is unmatched. Adib is currently a State of NC certified Firefighter and Paramedic and works for the Town of Mint Hill, NC. He has served on numerous community boards, as well as a National Diversity Board. He is married to his lovely wife of 7 years and they share one daughter together. Adib enjoys spending his downtime with his family and believes that family is the most important thing.
