Just Like You

Many people can point to a single instance that had a major impact on their life. Whether a program that taught them a skill, a coach that believed they were destined for greatness, or a person who showed them something in themselves they were unable to see, these instances are luxuries not every person will receive.

Every child will not be born in a two-parent household where they receive the nurturing and care that fosters growth and brace their falls. Not every child will be born in a household where things we normally take for granted like food, water, electricity, and readily available Wi-Fi.

In this series, I hope people will share an instance that helped shape or prepare them for the future. While I hope this shared instance is positive and led them on the path to success, I would also like to hear about those negative instances that could have or actually led them down the wrong path. These stories are also vital and should be shared for kids facing similar circumstances. Not as a scare tactic, but to provide knowledge, insight, and hope.

With the ultimate goal of having a robust collection of stories easily found by kids looking for inspiration, positivity, guidance, or simply curiosity, your story could be the instance that makes a lasting impact on a child.
