Our History
Our Operations
The RRR System is a virtual railroad which was started by Hachiroku on June 6th of 2010 when the first train was operated. From that point onward, the Robloxia Railroad lived on and grew. Originally, the name of the organization was simply the Robloxia Railroad. Around 2013 the name was changed to the Robloxia Railroad Company to more formalize the group. At the same time, Hachiroku got Builder's Club and thus the official Roblox Group page was able to be started. Fast forward to 2016 and the name changed again to the Robloxia Railroad System, as the group had grown to operate multiple different entities of business including locomotive manufacturing, rolling stock manufacturing, railroad operations, and even an elevator division. Over time the RRR System also absorbed several out of service third party railroads including United National Transit, Progressive Rail, and Robloxian Rail Transit.
The RRR is the oldest railroad on Roblox still operating today, now having been active for over 14 years. There are railfans visiting our group now who weren't even born yet when we were founded.
The RRR System has always been known for one thing above all else, and that is our dedication to ALCO locomotive power. The RRR operates nearly an entirely ALCO and MLW fleet, with HLW locomotives in the mix, which often use ALCO prime movers. A variety of other builders such as GE and Baldwin are also represented throughout the roster.
We strive for realism in all of our operations. Every movement is made with a purpose, usually in support of future operations. It's one of the aspects of our group that sets us apart from many others.
Our operating sessions are publicly accessible to people who go through the process of joining our discord server and Roblox group. Since we are an operations group, railfans cannot operate trains or ride freight trains. However, all of our maps offer free-roam roadways and vehicles which railfans can use to drive around, roleplay, and railfan. We do not offer applications directly for the RRR, as crew members are all personally invited. We do, however, offer applications for the Robloxia Railroad Historical Society which is a good way to get your foot in the door with the RRR.
