Ronee Curry

My last day with Blind Bear:

I was with him from 6pm yesterday to 12:45pm today...stepped out to charge my phone with the van and he died at 1:11pm. The nurse said he waited for me to leave and that is common??? How does she know that??? :-/

Possibly because I burst into tears and she was trying to console me...I went in after they cleaned him up and saw him lying at peace...no pain and warm to th...e touch. He had been dead 1 hour.

I took his hat (he left it to me) and his guitar to send home to his daddy.

He woke up 3 times last night and said "Ronée, could you give me a hug" he gave me 'bear hugs' I thought he wouldn't let go which was fine except I was precariously balance over the rails...then he went 'non responsive' at about midnight and never acknowledged me again. I stayed over night and he rattled all night. No food. No water. Just meds for pain and comfort. That was it. Hard to watch.

Blessed to be there! ♥
