Q: WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR SCHOOL?

A: The dress code for all students is clearly spelled out in the Student Handbook available on the Bridgewater Public Schools website. In short, students should simply be dressed comfortably to learn. Please be advised that many days in early September can be very warm which sometimes means a hot classroom for our students. Please do not hesitate to send your student in shorts if the weather is still summer like. In warmer months, flip flops are allowed but discouraged for safety concerns

Q: IF I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT AT SCHOOL OR I NEED TO DROP SOMETHING OFF, WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

A: There are often a few parking spots right out front near the handicapped spots for visitors or volunteers who will not be long. Otherwise, there is a parking lot on both the right and left of the school. Please note that parking in winter months becomes difficult as snow piles take over 20 or so spots.

Q: WHAT IS A KINDERGARTEN TEACHER APPOINTMENT?

A: This is a meeting for you and your student to meet your Kindergarten teacher in person before school starts on the Wednesday after Labor Day. These appointments are usually set up for the Tuesday after Labor Day, while school is in session for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students. Each Kindergarten teacher will contact you to let you know what day and time to come visit. This is a casual meeting, only about 10 minutes and is especially helpful with first day jitters. Some teachers meet with students and families in small groups and some meet individually, either way it's a great change to snap some photos, so bring your camera!

Q: WILL MY KINDERGARTEN STUDENT GET A REPORT CARD?

A: Yes. All Kindergarten students receive a report card three times per year, available to be viewed on the online account you will be given after the beginning of the school year. The school also sends home a paper copy of the first trimester report card with your child.

Q: WHAT IF OUR FAMILY IS NOT ABLE TO ATTEND AN EVENT/MEETING/APPOINTMENT DUE TO A CALENDAR CONFLICT?

A: If you are unable to attend an official school related appointment such as the screening or the teacher appointment, please contact the school and reschedule. Otherwise the events are optional times to simply meet and greet. Minutes from events such as Kindergarten Orientation will be sent to you via email.
