Toulouse

The "Laboratoire de Physique Théorique" (LPT) Toulouse is seeking to fill one post-doctoral position open to those with research interests in theoretical aspects of quantum information theory, explored using tools from Probability Theory, especially from Random Matrix Theory.

The position is supported by France-Romania project ANR-UEFISCDI "Random Matrix Techniques in Quantum Information Theory" (RMTQIT), coordinated from France by Dr. Ion Nechita (LPT) and from Romania by Lector Dr. Maria Anastasia Jivulescu.

The research theme of the project is highly interdisciplinary, between mathematics, computer science and physics, and candidates from the fore mentioned communities are encouraged to apply. More information about the project at: https://sites.google.com/site/rmtqit2013/.

The applicant should be familiar with quantum theory and, in particular, quantum information theory. More specifically, prior work in one of these areas is desirable: Random Matrix Theory, Probability Theory, Operator Theory. The position may start any time after fall 2013 for 18 months.

The Department of Mathematics, University Politehnica Timisoara, Romania is seeking to fill one post-doctoral position open to those with research interests in theoretical aspects of quantum information theory, explored using tools from Probability Theory, especially from Random Matrix Theory.
