Basic Text Operations

Quickly review some basic operations on text.

First open a Word document on the desktop.

Type the following sentence on one line -

The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy red hen.

Select a word in the sentence and perform the following:

• • Make it italic.

  • Make it bold.

  • Underline it.

  • Make it larger font (20 point)

  • Highlight in yellow.

Hint: To select a word quickly, double-click the word.

Select the entire sentence and do the following:

• • Center the sentence.
