We met with the former students of Richard M. Kos who did a study on NSJ and presented their findings to the San José Department of Transportation.
This is the slide deck they presented on their findings.
Graduate students from SJSU's Masters program in Urban Planning will be presenting their recommendations regarding land use and transportation improvements in North San José. These recommendations were presented to the San José Department of Transportation and we feel it is important for RONA members to know what is being considered for the future of NSJ.
From Richard M. Kos, AICP, a Senior Lecturer at SJSU:
I teach a course called "Capstone Studio in Community Planning" in SJSU's Masters of Urban Planning program. I was invited by the San Jose Dept. of Transportation to look at NSJ objectively, and my graduate student team developed recommendations for land use and transportation improvements that the SJDOT could consider as they develop a long-range plan for the area.
