No light at Seely & Montague. What could this mean for future traffic patterns while there is construction and once the project it finished.
The current parking situation along Seely.
River Oaks Parkway Safety Concerns (and Cisco Way near the school)
There has been concern regarding the safety of pedestrians crossing ROP between Seely and Research. There have been several reported close calls. We feel there should be a cross walk with flashing lights to warn cars. What is the best place?
Speeding cars - the speed warning sign currently located at Seely and ROP is in the wrong place. It needs to be moved down the road where people are speeding, not at the traffic light.
Should ROP speed be reduced to 25 MPH? Should there be speed bumps? What other traffic calming solutions should be explored?
Cisco Way - There have been children and parents crossing Cisco Way to get to the schools on Levee Road. We feel there should be a crosswalk there and a crossing guard.
Parks
How are River Oaks Park and Iris Chang Park holding up? Do you have any concerns or wishes? There will be a new park at the Seely project and now is the time to let the Parks Department know what you would like to see.
Agnews Park - RONA wants to see a Library and a Community Center built at the future Agnews Park site to benefit not just our area, but all of North San José. We are severely underserved when it comes to a library or community center. The Agnews Park has the land needed for these amenities. Given our future density and growth, we feel that it is crucial that the City of San José plan for these amenities instead of kicking the can down the road.
