River Oaks Neighborhood Association Board Meeting

Thursday June 5, 2008

7:00 PM @ Premier Pizza, River Oaks

Present: Jean, Laura, and Abhay

• Update on Essex: Mike and Jean attended the Planning Commission Meeting on 5/28, they spoke about RONA's concerns. The project passed the planning commission hearing with no recommendations. Next it goes to the city council on 6/17.

• Last month's Sony/Irvine park planning meeting slides have been posted on the projects page. Send feedback to Jean, she will forward to the appropriate contact.

• Richard Santos, Director District 3 of the Santa Clara Valley Water District, would like RONA to support the Alviso Slough Restoration Project. Jean will get the EIR from Dick and forward to the Board for our comments.

• Laura noted someone has put in rebar-and-board earthen steps up the side of the levee between Parkside and 405 ROP.
