River Oaks Neighborhood Association Board Meeting

• • Walmart at McCarthy Ranch in Milpitas is proposing expanding its store to become a "Supercenter", in other words, to include a grocery store. The DRAFT EIRs are here: Draft Environmental Impact Report and Draft EIR Appendicies.

  • Erik's Analysis of how this proposal affects the RONA community.

  • San Jose is working on updating it's general plan. The effort is called "Envision San Jose 2040". More information at this website. As part of this effort, they presented an update on the North San Jose Retail Strategy and a Draft North San jose Report on Retail.

  • The city has surveyed current residential permit-holders to ascertain their readiness status to start construction: page 1 and page 2.

  • Election planning: all officers want to continue in the same positions. Will plan election details next meeting.

  • Decided to change RONA meeting to another date to encourage participation to: First Wednesday of every month.

  • Treasury update: We currently have $821.81.
