Ritmos Latinos presents a day of Cuban dance workshops, followed by the Spring Fiesta! We are excited to welcome guest instructor Paul Cassens from Washingtoon, DC!
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Having danced with many Ritmos Latinos members everywhere outside of Indiana, Paul is super excited to visit the home of Ritmos Latinos!
A member of DC Casineros since 2015, Paul Cassens is a principal dancer, choreographer, and instructor with the group. Since joining, he’s had the opportunity to present throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and Europe. Additionally, Paul maintains an active teaching schedule at George Mason University (Fairfax, VA) including with their Latin dance club, Azúcar, teaching classes in Casino partner-work and Rueda de Casino.
With a background in music, and a passion for education, Paul’s knowledge of movement, music, and historical context create comfort connecting in partner-work, and fun, energetic ruedas.
WORKSHOP
Workshops are open to dancers who learned the basics of casino (guapea, dile que no, enchufe, vacilala, p'abajo, exhibela)

FIESTA
Location: Frangipani Room, IMU
8:30 pm - Absolute Beginner lesson
Bring your friends who don't know how to dance yet, and show them what it is all about :)
9 pm - 12 am - dance the night away!
Dress to impress and get ready to party! The best timba, son, salsa, bachata and more!
The fiesta and absolute beginner lesson are free and open to public!
