Viktor Azim

My motto: „dance to express, not to impress.”

My name is Viktor Azim, alias Ritmo Fresco. I was born  in 1982 and grew up in Budapest, Hungary. I have been dancing since 1999. I was always open to dances of all styles. After dancing Boogie-Woogie, break dance and Capoeira I have discovered Salsa: first as a music and then Salsa as a dance.

The time when I started dancing salsa it was a dance barely known in Hungary. I was looking for to get to know more about the salsa and the culture surrounding it. I realized that salsa is only a part of the afrocubain latin culture. I acquainted with such dances as Son, a Guaguanco, Merengue, Bachata, Rueda de Casino.

During my studies abroad I personally experienced that the real power of salsa is getting people together. I became I part of a vibrant foreign community linked by the love of dance. It is in France that I learnt LA style.

I think dancing has given several unforgettable moments in my life. I felt that what I experienced, learnt and lived through should be passed on.

Back to Hungary I started to give private dance lessons first for friends and then to more and more people.

I happy to be part of Ritmo Fresco community. I want to help you to discover Latino dance culture together.
