ND EPSCoR NATURE program 2018 (Nurturing American Tribal Undergraduate Research and Education)
I was a faculty mentor to 2 students who chose to explore river and stream dynamics by experimenting with our lab's stream table for a week. They came up with three of their own hypotheses, tested them, and learned about stream velocity, erosion, and base level relationships. They also learned about taking notes and recording data in a lab/field setting. Then they created their own ppt presentation to explain to their group what was learned (June 11-14, 2018).
CEM Summer Camp (2016): Young Scientists and Engineers Academy (YSEA)
I ran the Stream Table in the UND Geomorphology Lab for 5th through 8th graders to learn about rivers and flooding (July 26, 2016).
