The factory records for manufacture and sales of Triumph motorcycles were all destroyed in the Coventry blitz in 1940. I have been compiling a register of pre-war frame and engine numbers for many years now and have over 1341 bikes recorded. 488 TH framed, 214 TF framed and 422 TL framed. As well as 217 Val Page (1934-36) machines. However the large majority have no first registration/export details. Machines with documented history are all too rare. Therefore, If you know the first date of registration of your (1934-1941) machine please consider contributing the information to help this valuable resource. I am also interested in any information from log books, letters, owners handbooks or receipts that contain machine details. All the information remains strictly confidential and is only used anonymously as evidence to date those frames or engines that have no documentation.
I can provide a dating service for pre-war machines and indicate whether engines and frames now together are a matching set. When enquiring please include frame and engine numbers, and any registration or export details.
For post-war Triumph motorcycles I recommend the Triumph Owners Motorcycle Club: www.tomcc.org
