Science On Saturday

Join us for our 2nd Annual Science on Saturday. SOS is a fun, educational & interactive STEM event for the whole community.  This FREE 5hr event is designed to ignite an interest in science & STEM through hands-on STEM exploration & make-and-take activities for the whole family. We have several booths conducting science & STEM hands-on experiments for K-2, 3-6, 6-8, and 9th grade. This is a community wide event for the whole RGV. Family fun for everyone!

Thank you for coming out and joining us at our 1st Annual Science On Saturday (SOS) event.  1,106 students registered and participated in 32 hands-on science and STEM activities.

Student attendees were entered into a raffle and had the opportunity to win four prizes. The following students won:

Science on Saturday (SOS) is a fun, educational, and interactive STEM event for the whole community.  This FREE five-hour event is designed to ignite an interest in science and STEM through hands-on science experiments, STEM exploration make-and-take activities, and self-guided tours for the whole family. All K-12 students, parents, educators, and community members are invited to come and participate on March 5, 2022 at the Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen from 9am to 2 pm.
