Feb. 2016: Raj Gounder receives an NSF CAREER Award to research synthesis strategies to control the distribution of aluminum heteroatoms in zeolite frameworks and to study their consequences for NOx pollution abatement catalysis. We are thankful to the NSF for this recognition and support.

Jan. 2016: An article first-authored by Jamie Harris on titration and quantification methods for open and closed Lewis acidic Sn sites in Sn-Beta zeolites and the consequences of hydrophobic and hydrophilic environments on glucose isomerization catalysis has been published by the Journal of Catalysis. May 2015: John Di Iorio received the second place poster prize at the 2015 Chicago Catalysis Club Spring Symposium, for his poster titled "Ammonia Titration Methods Probe the Dynamic Nature of Brønsted Acid Sites in Cu- SSZ-13 During NOx Selective Catalytic Reduction". Congratulations John!

Apr. 2015: Raj Gounder, Jason Bates, and Phil Kester, along with other catalysis researchers at Purdue, helped to organize an outreach event for local middle school students (6th-8th grade) through the Purdue Women in Engineering's Innovation-to-Reality program.

Apr. 2015: John Di Iorio has been selected as chemical engineering's recipient of the 2015 Teaching Academy Graduate Teaching Award, which is a campus-wide teaching award administered by Purdue's Center for Instructional Excellence. Congratulations John!

Apr. 2015: Welcome to Young Gul Hur, who is a visiting graduate student from Korea University in Prof. Kwan-Young Lee's group! Young will be performing research with us for the next six months through the BK Plus Student Exchange Program between Purdue University and Korea University.

Apr. 2015: Our invited article to the special issue of Topics in Catalysis in honor of Mark Davis' 2014 ACS Somorjai Award, which was authored by John Di Iorio and several Purdue collaborators, details methods to use NH3 as a titrant of H+ sites in Cu-zeolites and is now in press. Congratulations John!
