Revotronics in collaboration with GigaLot are proud to announce our latest feedlot feed management solution.
(As part of our on going R&D commitment to the feedlots we are able to supply the following solution !)
The diagram above gives a simple graphical illustration of the solution.
On a high level:
- The feed management server is hosted on a PC or Tablet in an office where the feed is managed, feed mixes/recipes are put together here. (the feed management server is too complex to explain in detail here)
- The data is then streamed to our custom application on the WIFI tablets (the WIFI solution is part of our success and is the heart of the solution) some feedlots have over 50 WIFI units connected together to make a complete realtime data streaming solution
- The server then "instructs" the different front-end loader/s (FELs) to go and make the mix/s
- This sets us apart !! Multiple FELs can work on a single mix, basic "round robin" scenarios
- This can happen in a mobile or STATIC mixer as long as the mixer has the ability to get a weight...
- YES we ALSO cater for weight bridges ! The tractor and wagon can stop on a weight bridge (WB) and then a FEL can load the wagon while the weight is streamed from the WB scale, all via WIFI to the tablet on the FEL and other tablets as needed
Here are a few simple case studies of currently operational feed management solutions, running at the moment (with out naming specifics and going into too much details)
Feedlot 1: 2 FEL`s, 2 static mixers
1- The feeds operator prepares the mixes for the day, ANY amount of mixes, ANY amount of components... yes even PRE-mixes are supported, that then become a separate component
2- The FEL operator then select a mixer, two or more FEL can select the same mixer, on the tablet inside the cab
3- The FEL operators then selects the mix, each one can select a component so they "ROUND ROBIN" to make the mix
4- * As part of mill management, we can also automatically control the water, molasses and other additives through custom hardware
Feedlot 2: 1 FEL, 1 Tractor with mixer feed wagon, 1 weight bridge
1- The feeds operator prepares the mixes for the day, ANY amount of mixes, ANY amount of components
2- The FEL operator receives the mix recipe and loads the components as instructed on the tablet
3- The scale data is streamed from the WB as each component is loaded, and so the mix is made
Feedlot 3: 1 FEL, 1 tractor with mixer feed wagon with integrated scale and our custom hardware
1- The feeds operator prepares the mixes for the day, ANY amount of mixes, ANY amount of components
2- The FEL operator receives the mix recipe and loads the components as instructed on the tablet
3- The scale data is streamed live to the FEL operator as it loads each component into the feed wagon
So how much does this cost... again there are no "one size" fits all solution. We first come out to your location and then assess the options that is most suited to your particular needs, hardware is supplied at near cost .. this is our motto we do not make money from hardware, we supply solutions and then ask a monthly license fee based on that solution.
Why charge monthly license fees.... well so that we can support our customers and CONTINUE to support our customers, we have been around for 6+ years now and still support the first customers... unlike the other so called "professionals" whom have long disappeared by now, they charged exuberant once off fees and did installations and promised but now they no longer support their products and some are simply gone ! giving the industry a bad name :(
