Sacramental Mysteries

The Sacramental Mysteries

BAPTISM, CHRISMATION AND HOLY COMMUNION:

Christening of newborns should be arranged well before the due date. New parents will receive a special introduction to the Sacraments of Initiation prior to the ceremony. Converts will be received into the Church following a period of personal instruction.

THE SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION:

Confessions are heard until 1O:am on Sunday and before or after all other services. Please simply come to the sacristy if you wish to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Parochial celebrations of Reconciliation with guest confessors are held several times annually.

MATRIMONY:

Preparation should begin a year in advance to leave time for mandatory sacramental catechesis, Pre-Cana, canonical paperwork and planning the sacramental ceremony.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK:

Anyone entering the hospital should be anointed, preferably at the Sunday Liturgy. Anyone admitted to the hospital should be anointed as soon as possible.

VISITATION TO THE SICK AND SHUT IN is made monthly. Please let Father know about anyone who should be receiving a visit for Confession and Holy Communion.
