Stage 2> Why the Renaissance? Flowchart. Add a new section/node to your mind map where you add nodes listing the factors leading to the start (i.e. why it started in the first place) and expansion (i.e. why it kept growing) of the Renaissance. You will work individually to brainstorm the causes and the connections that lead to the expansion of the arts, the Reformation, and the growth of humanism. Use Lovely Charts to create a flowchart that shows the factors leading to the creativity and burst of new ideas of the Renaissance and the questioning that led to the Protestant Reformation. Continue your flowchart to list the factors that kept the ideals of the Renaissance expanding through to the 1600’s. Use the flowchart rubric (attached at bottom of the page) to guide your efforts.
