PCC Programs and Committees

There are many exciting events that occur throughout the year which help to supplement your children's education. If it were not for your generous time and donations we would not be able to pay for and supplement these programs.

The PCC through our fundraising efforts are able to cover the costs of Field Trips, Enrichment programs, Educational programs, Student/Teacher Supplies, Donations/Community Service programs, Teacher Appreciation and 8th Grade Programs.

With this said, we cannot do all of it every year without volunteers. Many hands make easy work and many hands we do need. Please consider offering some time to any of these activities we will be having this year.

Any amount of time you can give is appreciated!

If you can volunteer, please contact us at pccremington@gmail.com.

RALLY FOR REMINGTON

Direct Donation Program to help supplement field trips for all grades, student activities and all events at Remington. We really want to make a BIG push with direct donation by promoting and also adding a PayPal facility for online payments. This program gives us the biggest return as we receive 100% of all donations rather than a percentage as in other fundraising events. This will be promoted via flyers in the folders sent home at the start of the school year, email and PCC Facebook page.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES

This committee will organize activities for students, i.e., movie nights, trivia night, etc.. Our principals are very excited about this committee and promise to attend these events. Flyers will need to be designed. Volunteers are needed to help with concession sales and the door.

REMAPALOOZA

This committee will coordinate and organize Remapalooza. This is the PCC’s largest fundraisers and one of the most popular events of the school year. There are inflatables, a silent auction, raffle, dunk tank., music. An outline and information from the previous year will be provided. Many Co-Chairs and volunteers are needed to help with the fundraiser. High School students can volunteer to earn service hours the day of the event.

READING PROGRAM

This committee will work with designated staff to collect lists of the students who completed the summer reading challenge. A gift will be purchased by the PCC and delivered to the students during homeroom who have met the requirement. The students names will also be included in an article and sent to the local paper.

YEARBOOK

This committee will work with a teacher who is organizing the yearbook throughout the year to photograph, gather pictures and deliver them to school so that the yearbook can be designed and put together.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

Once the date(s) have been established, flyers will need to be made so it can be sent out to parents and home. PCC will work to advertise to the community.

HOSPITALITY

Bakers are needed! We are looking for some generous people who love to bake (or buy) to help us out during our bake sales for conferences, teacher luncheons, and Remapalooza. A Sign-Up-Genius form will be created so you can bake as much or as little a you want.
