Be Involved in the PCC

Why be involved and part of the PCC ?

The number one reason to be involved and part of the Parent Communication Council is to BENEFIT YOUR CHILD. In doing so, you also help our school. But there are many more PCC volunteer advantages:

  • Get Connected. There’s no better way to know what’s happening at Remington.

  • Discover Great Resources. The PCC offers a variety of programs designed for parents as well as students. We also work with other groups such as SEPAC (Franklin Special Education Parents Advisory Council)

  • Opportunities to meet other parents, teachers and administration, building rapport and discussing issues that are on your mind. You can share ideas, concerns, and experiences.

  • Watch Yourself Grow. By volunteering with the Remington PCC, you put your skills and hobbies to use for a noble cause—your child and all children in the community.

  • Speak Up! PCC can be a way for you to more effectively suggest change at Remington.

  • Witness Improvement. By getting involved you’ll be part of the solution, helping make positive changes. We play an important role in fundraising to provide fully funded field trips, curriculum-based programs, and social events.

  • Be a Role Model. By becoming a PCC member, you’ll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education.

  • Become involved. The amount of time you can give does not matter. What matters is your involvement to help your child and the students at Remington.
