These are Polaroids from Davis' photo album. After many years we are meeting and learning about some of the Marines whose pictures he kept.

This is Michael P. Bruce of Cut Off, Louisiana on the left and Davis on the right. They were great friends, and we are thankful that Michael completed his tour before the attack. "Your brother was one of a kind. Happy go lucky and almost always a smile to greet you day to day.
Your brother and I would talk quite alot in Vietnam. He told me that he came from a big family and from the pictures you've sent, he was right.
All these years that have gone by I did not know that Davis was one of the casualties. Davey was a very good man. God bless his soul. We all liked him very much - everyone on the hill said the same thing."

This is a family favorite of Davis outside a bunker.
This is C. A. Parker of Texas, known by the nickname "Red" or "Tex". The photo may have been taken at battalion headquarters.
That is Davis on the left leaning down. The fellow crouching with him in the mortar pit may be C. A. Parker.

This is a photo of Wayne "Super Jew" Lusk of Cincinnati, Ohio. Wayne survived the over-run of Hill 25 but sustained serious shrapnel injuries, and two gunshot wounds to his upper right arm. We had the privilege to share his memories (and great sense of humor!) when we met Wayne in May 2002.
The faded condition of this photo makes identifying the man pretty difficult. If you can make it out, please let us know.
The Campbells were family friends, and Mr. Campbell was Davis' Industrial Arts teacher and coach. Our family still has the piano bench that Davis built under his guidance. We received an unexpected email from son David Campbell after he visited this site, before this photo had been published!
