Rules for Classroom Behavior
Students must know and follow all rules in the student handbook in addition to classroom rules mandated by the teacher.
Be in your assigned seat and prepared to work when the bell rings.
Follow directions.
Raise your hand before speaking.
Abstain from eating and drinking in our classroom.
Respect the rights and property of others.
Be courteous to your teacher and your classmates.
At the end of the period, remain in your seat until you are dismissed.
During presentations by the teacher or other students refrain from using the computers.
No computer games, no exceptions.
Policy for Severe Behavior
Severely disruptive behavior will result in immediate referral to the deans.
Consequences for Disruptive Behavior
1st Offense: A verbal warning will be given when a minor classroom or school rule is broken, unless the discipline code calls for a referral.
2nd Offense: A 2nd verbal warning will be given and may be accompanied by a telephone call to the parent/ guardian.
3rd Offense: If the problem persists after a verbal warning, students will be set to H111 and will be written up, which will be accompanied by a telephone call to the parent/ guardian.
Grading Policy
Only summative assessments (tests, quizzes and major projects) will count towards a students grade.
Students may retake summative assessments as many times as they like, however the tool used to assess may change.
Students must contact Mr. Reichelt via email whenever they retake a summative assessment.
Students must receive an 70% or greater on their summative assessment before they can move onto the next unit.
All formative assessments (worksheets, notes, labs etc.) must be completed before students can retake any summative assessment .
Students may use formative assessments as notes during their summative assessments.
