I follow the same general format in each course that I've taught. I've develop this course structure after several years of teaching as a graduate student. I noticed that the traditional format for teaching in use in most mathematics classrooms is not very affective for many students (including myself!). I have a standard structure I follow for each day
The following components are present during each 'lecture' day.
These types of assignments are less frequent but allow students to demonstrate their understanding after receiving initial feedback in the above assignments. These assignments usually carry the same weight as the above assignments or possibly even exams. This allows students to perform in situations with far less stress than may come with taking a traditional written exam.
Examples of these assignments, lecture notes, and additional materials can be found under each course title. Additional materials can be provided upon request.
