On the 13th December 1887, at the Langham Hotel, London, the inaugural meeting of the Red Rose Club was held to appoint the officers and settle the rules. The following pages were published in booklet form in 1903 and were scanned and presented here in 2017.
The subsequent pages were gathered by successive club secretaries and have been digitised
by Lieutenant Colonel John Tustin TD.

In 2019 and 2020 during the exit of the DLOY museum from the Museum of Lancashire (MoL), original material from the early years of the Red Rose Club was scanned and is available via this link. The final box (LANOY 566.3) was finally removed in August 2022. It was agreed that paper records would be accepted by Lancashire County Records where they would be properly preserved. LANOY 556.3 - a box file of papers from the late1800s and early 1900s, was collected from Jo Hayward, Registrar, Lancashire Museum Service by Lt Col John Tustin and all the papers were scanned over a period of three weeks before finally handing them over to Lancashire County Records. Many of the documents in this box are from the periods when the position of Hon Sec RRC was held by Col Batten and Col Timmis and are listed in the web index on the left panel of this page.
