6. ENGRAVING

There are 2 types of engravable products: Manual engraving and HUD engraving.

  • 6.1. MANUAL ENGRAVING

    • 6.1.1. Fill out the engraving FORM and send it to Crashnoww resident, together with the items to be engraved. We do not carry out the engraving requests if the items are not sent with the engraving form.

The engraving process will take at most 48 hours, however, some events can occur and the process can take longer to complete.

    • 6.1.2. Re-engraving involves the same procedure.

We charge a L$200 fee pe item for re-engraving.

6.1.3. There is a time limit for engraving new products. Please send the product no later than 30 days since purchase to be engraved.

6.1.4. Products bought at 2nd hand can't be engraved again. We honor only the engraving requests sent by the original buyer.

  • 6.2. HUD ENGRAVING

Most new products feature HUD engraving.

Please see the User Guide for instructions.

If the engraving scripts get deleted by accident, contact Crashnoww resident in Second Life.

7. TROUBLESHOOTING

  • 7.1. Item gets destroyed while resizing - take a fresh copy from the backup box and sit on the pose stand while resizing. If the item is no copy, contact Crashnoww resizdent.

  • 7.2. There is a yellow pyramid and the mesh item is missing parts or it doesn't appear at all - The yellow pyramid means that the mesh cannot load. This is a Second Life problem.

Reasons: lag, slow server, slow connection, busy sim, Second Life is under maintenance.

Solutions: - try detaching and reattaching the item.

- try re-logging.

- clean the cache.

  • 7.3. Clicking the item does nothing:

Make sure that the sim you are in doesn't have the scripts disabled.

If you deleted the scripts, use another copy from the backup box.

If the item is a Tokon HUD compatible one, attach the Tokon HUD.

Some products are controlled only via HUD.

  • 7.4. Items are missing from the inventory. What can be done?

Visit our store inworld and use the redelivery terminal. This doesn't work for no copy - transferable products.

  • 7.5 Engraving is not visible on the product.

7.5.1. This can happen when something transparent is worn over the engraving portion of the product. Ex. chimera ball, hair, top, mesh tattoo layer.

7.5.2. The product is too close to the skin and the body's tattoo layer goes over the engraving.

7.5.3. The engraving got misaligned. Send the product back for replacement.

8. COLLARS - RLV

*Our products work only with the official OpenCollar system. Other system are not supported and we do not provide customer service.*

  • 8.1. UPDATING THE COLLAR

*Always make sure you have the latest version of the product itself, by using the redelivery terminal at our store.*

The Official OpenCollar updater can be found at our store inworld.

Visit a place where you can rez. Wear the collar and drag the updater box on the ground. Click the collar and go to Help/About and click Update. Wait for it to finish.

This procedure might change in the future updates. Always read the instructions that come with the Updater.

  • 8.2. RLV

    • 8.2.1. The official Second Life viewer doesn't have RLV functionality. Use Firestorm or something similar. Make sure RLV is enabled in the viewer's settings.

    • 8.2.2. Forced teleportation doesn't work - make sure both the owner and the slave have RLV enabled in their viewers.

    • 8.2.3. The collar doesn't stay locked - This usually happens when you log with multiple viewers and some don't have RLV.

  • 8.3. FEATURES

    • Features can be added or removed as the system evolves. If there's a feature you're missing in new version of the system, there's nothing we can do about it.

  • 8.4. MANUAL

  • 8.5. MODIFICATIONS

    • The product is modifiable only for updating purposes. We are not responsible if you break the collar by updating it, changing it’s name or parts descriptions, unlinking or removing the linked parts, changing the textures, altering the tint, adding additional apps, adding, modifying or removing scripts and parts.

  • 8.6. RLV FOLDERS

    • This function enables the owner to add or remove clothing items from the slave.

Instructions

      • Enable RLV

      • Locate the #RLV folder

      • Create a subfolder in it and name it as the outfit you want to see it in the collar's menu (ex. Beach).

        • Create another subfolder in the Beach folder and name it Top for example.

          • Place in the Top folder SHORTCUTS of the objects you want to be removed or added. All the items in the Top folder will be added or removed by the collar.

        • Create another subfolder and name it Bottom. Follow the same procedure.

      • You can create as many outfits and as many subfolders as needed.

      • Place in the subfolders ONLY the items you want to be added or removed. Do not place hairs, shapes, bodies etc.

  • 8.7. ANIMATIONS

    • In order to add your own animations to a collar:

      • Drag the collar on the ground. Press CTRL+ALT+T to see invisible prims. Right click the collar and select Edit.

      • In the Edit window select 'Edit linked'. Click the top disk on the core system. The prim is called Animator. Drop your animations in it.

  • 8.8 ACCESSING THE MENU

    • If you're having issues accessing the OpenCollar menu try the following:

      • Sometimes there are 2 necklaces/collars in the package. One with OpenCollar and one without. Read the User Guide to see which is which. Usually the one with OpenCollar has "RLV" or "Collar" in the name.

      • If you can't click the necklace/collar it can be for a few reasons:

        • There is something going over the necklace/collar (top, hair, mesh tattoo layer etc).

        • The necklace/collar is too close to your skin and the body's tattoo layer goes over it (move it a bit forward).

        • The scripts are disabled in the sim you're in. Move to another sim with scripts enabled.

        • If you're still having issues with clicking it, type this command in local chat: prefix+menu.

          • The prefix is the first 2 letters in your name.

Example:

Name: crashnoww resident

Prefix is: cr

Local chat command is: crmenu

This should bring up the menu.

If you can't find the answer to your question, contact Crashnoww Resident via a notecard describing the issue. IMs will be ignored.
