ORTESOL 2015 Plenary
Find resources here from my talk at ORTESOL 2015, November 14 at Portland Community College Sylvania Campus
The PDF of my PowerPoint is in the files below.
Abstract: Technology is often alternately accused of destroying literacy and saving it. Learners need not only Twitter and chat (little to read and write) but also blogs or fan sites (lots to read and write).
One thing is clear – technology can be a medium for learning and for practicing. This talk will demonstrate some tools and how they might be used in teaching and learning reading and writing in the digital age.
