Notice to all our Community Café customers and friends

The Coronavirus crisis has significantly impacted on our Charity’s viability to trade at the café.

Because of the impact of the social distancing measures and to safeguard the interests of the beneficiaries that we support, the trustees have taken the difficult decision to close the Community Café for the foreseeable future.

Please look at our News page updated in March 2020 about the cancellation of the Wednesday Evening Bingo and Friday Coffee Afternoons due to the Coronavirus guidance . Thank you to all those who come and supported our evenings and coffee afternoons. Please stay healthy and we look forwards to meeting you again when these events are resumed.

Passionate about the promotion of equality and diversity, we help those furthest away from employment gain the work and life skills to live as independently as possible. Our charitable objectives are:

i. The relief of those in need by reason of disability.

ii. The organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for those in need by reason of disability.

iii. The advancement of education.

Ray's Opportunities operates out of its Community Cafe enterprise. An organisational trading arm, the Community Cafe is a vibrant high street eatery that exists as a meeting place for those currently experiencing disadvantage. Offering a range of volunteering opportunities, skills workshops and recreational events, the Community Cafe helps people across the region gain or re-gain the skills and experience to obtain sustainable employment and vocational training.
