Raising A Reader Lake County is a non-profit organization offering an early literacy and family engagement program that improves the reading readiness of children 3-6 and strengthens family bonds. We provide a collection of high-quality children's literature to every child and then rotate a new bag home weekly. Family members sign agreements to make daily reading a family ritual and attend the quarterly parent education programs we offer.
