Ruby YAN 严然

I am a Business Unit Manager in GlOBALFOUNDRIES Germany in charge of Human Machine Interaction applications including image and display technologies.

I received my Ph.D degree from Tyndall National Institute and University College Cork in 2010. I received my B.Eng. degree from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, China in 2006.

In 4 years of Ph.D study, I have published about 70 prestigious journal and conference papers, including a paper in NATURE NANOTECHNOLOGY and about 10 lead author papers. For details, please check List of Publications.

In the past, I collaborated with SOITEC USA and France group, also with INTEL-USA on various projects.

My major research interests are:

• Novel design of ultra-small SOI transistor

• Physical modeling of nanoscale SOI/Bulk MOSFETs

• Variability and reliability issues of SOI devices

I also have considerable experience in translation and interpretation between English and Mandarin, especially in legal, financial, medical fields.
