Every picture tells a story. The author's search for the setting for Olympia Academy, A School for the Dead, led her to an old schoolhouse in Washington.

Readers,

The setting can be the most important aspect of a book. I found it difficult to get inside my characters' heads without the right setting. I needed to give them a home, a place to dream, create, play and, as you know, get into a little mischief! The pictures in the slide show were taken in 2012 when, after considerable research, I located the perfect setting for Olympia Academy--the old Dungeness School in Sequim, WA.. A few photos were taken in June 2014. Visiting the schoolhouse again, after the book was written and published, felt like coming home.

Redemption was also set in an old schoolhouse in Radersburg, Montana

A Thread of Crimson is set in Jackson, Hole, Wyoming among the rugged mountains and breathtaking terrain.

An Appalachian Love Story is set in a beautiful region of mountains and forest in Appalachia.

Enjoy!
