Arnie Conquers Mission, 6/14/2025
On a breezy and cool day, the Range Bassmasters tackled the Mission Lakes with 15 members on hand. It looked challenging, with water temperatures barely above 60 degrees and curlyleaf pondweed all over breaklines. But the bass were feeling frisky as the bite was generally fast with lots of nice healthy fish from 15 1/2 to 17 inches biting.
Arnie ran away with it, loading up 17 pounds, including a 4-5, which was one of five bass over 4 pounds weighed in. A lunker went a long way to boosting your score, as all anglers brought in a limit and weights were close. Congratulations on another stellar start! Upper Mission produced well for Arnie and partner Levi Jillson. Ol’ Reliable Chuck bagged15-0 for second place, including a 4-9, followed closely by Levi J. with 14-14 with a 4-5. He tied Chuck for weight but had one mortality. The rest of the Top 6 was Emmet, Brian T., and Zoey who also snared the 4-10 lunker.
