Welcome to ReAL Teens Write. The purpose of this site is to provide you with a community that will allow you to share your work, refine your craft, and find opportunities to publish what you write.

What is a Writer's Workshop?

This is a space for you to share your work with other writers in our school. Each of you has been given a page on the wiki that is for you to upload your work and request feedback. If you are a person who does better with handwriting your work, come and see me. We can scan your work and you can upload it as a PDF file.

To achieve this, we need to agree to the following:

  • Remember that writing is a very personal activity attacking a piece of writing is like attacking the person.
  • Understand that stories are covered by copyright--even if they are not "officially" published. Respect the work of others.
  • Be specific about the kind of feedback you want.
  • This is not an appropriate venue for crafting erotica. The intent is not censorship, but rather the appropriateness of the content to the audience. If your writing contains graphic violence or profanity, please warn your potential readers. If you are offended by violence or profanity that may be incorporated into another person's writing, please do not select to review that person's work.

Critiquing the Work of Others

In order for this to work well, it will be important for students to commit to reading and critiquing the work of other students. Before you write a critique of another person's work, please read the following articles:
