Philip Morgan
Philip worked as a Consulting Turbine engineer as well as assisting his wife Claire, in the teaching of her classes. He got dragged into dance classes with Claire, from 1997 as the only way to see his wife! Travel for work meant he could not depend on being present for every class but after he left work in 2015, he and Claire taught all classes jointly, up until Claire's passing in May 2024.
Philip has found there is still considerable enthusiasm for continuing the classes so decided to relaunch Quicksteps in September 2024, being ablely assisted by Isabel Thomas.

Claire worked part-time as a school librarian as well as teaching Ballroom, Latin American and Argentine Tango classes. Claire said, "Having not danced for years, I started Line dancing in 1996, dragged along somewhat reluctantly by some friends! I quickly discovered that I loved it, so followed it up by taking up Ballroom and Latin American". "This soon became a passion, and I qualified as a teacher in 2003. I now hold Licentiate qualifications with the UKA in both Ballroom and Latin American, and an Instructor’s Diploma in Argentine Tango".
She worked for many years at Dancers of Chippenham, teaching the adult classes at all levels, doing private lessons, coaching the children’s Supadance competition team, teaching children’s classes. She also ran dance nights with her partner.
After a short illness, Claire passed away in May 2024
