On Sunday, April 2nd, 13 club members and one grandson attended our group event at the Ben’s Bells Studio in Phoenix. We listened to how the project began and how the mission has evolved. The community helps to make the wind chimes that are then hung up all around town to be found by others. This is their way of spreading and encouraging kindness. Our job was to paint clay flower forms that make up Ben’s Bells. The large clay flowers are a solid color and after they are fired, will turn bright colors. These flowers will be used in the “official” Ben’s Bell. The smaller flowers are used in various bells for the public to purchase.
