GFWC Paradise Valley Junior Woman's Club

We are the GFWC Paradise Valley Junior Woman's Club of Arizona and we are part of the General Federation of Women's Clubs.  The General Federation of Women’s Clubs is one of the world’s largest and oldest nonpartisan, nondenominational, women’s volunteer service organizations.  It was founded in 1890 and chartered by the 56th United States Congress in 1901.

More than 100,000 members in affiliated clubs in every state and more than a dozen countries work in their own communities to support the arts, preserve natural resources, advance education, promote healthy lifestyles, encourage civic involvement, and work toward world peace and understanding.

The club focuses on projects that benefit their community and the world, while strengthening and building leadership and friendship among its’ members.  Club membership is open to all women aged 18 years and older.

Junior Pledge

I pledge my loyalty to the Junior Clubwoman.  By doing better than ever before, what work I have to do. By Being prompt, honest and courteous. By living each day, trying to accomplish something, not merely to exist.

Dinner at Ronald McDonald House

Summer 2023

PVJR's Woman's Club had fun preparing and cooking a meal for the Ronald McDonald House. The dinner was for 45 people of the families  staying  at the house while their child is being treated at the hospital. Ronald McDonald provides a "home away from home" for families traveling to the Valley for medical  care for their children.

Free Arts Day at the Heard Museum

GFWC members from four different clubs came together to volunteer for Free Arts Day at the Heard Museum. We guided children from foster care and group homes around the museum and helped them participate in various activities. There was  an exhibit tour, clay art, making Jacia necklaces and Hoop dancing performed by the Duncan family, world champion Hoop Dancers. Over 1oo children got to participate and  experience this wonderful day put on by the Free Arts Organization.
